Cobleskill Regional Hospital Donates $1,000 to Cobleskill Fire Department

Contribution Towards New Ladder Truck Made in Honor of Hospital's 70th Anniversary

Cobleskill Regional Hospital is donating $1,000 to the Cobleskill Fire Department in honor of the hospital's 70th anniversary, which is being celebrated this year.

The funding will go towards the Cobleskill Fire Department's effort to replace its 25-year-old ladder truck. A new state-of-the-art truck will help volunteer firefighters respond to fires and other emergencies, serving the Cobleskill community for many years to come.

"The caregivers at Cobleskill Regional Hospital are grateful for the seven decades our hospital has worked hand in hand with the Cobleskill Fire Department and other local first responders to keep our local communities safe and healthy. This donation is in honor of that gratitude," said Susan Oakes Ferrucci, DNP, MSN, RN, CNS, President of Cobleskill Regional Hospital and Chief Hospital Executive of Bassett Healthcare Network's Critical Access Hospitals.

"The firefighters and officers of the Cobleskill Fire Department sincerely thank Cobleskill Regional Hospital for this meaningful contribution. As two organizations dedicated to protecting the well-being of our community, we understand the importance of being prepared when people need us most. This donation will help us provide the safest and most effective emergency response possible for future generations." said Chief Ben Righi of the Cobleskill Fire Department.

Community members who also wish to support the fire department's purchase of a new ladder truck can mail a check to PO Box 697, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
