Sidewalk and parking closure with lane shift on Cherry Street between Sixth and Seventh Streets, Aug. 18-29
(COLUMBIA, MO)- Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, Imhoff Construction, contractors for Columbia College, will repair the cupola, the small tower on top of Federal Hall, 608 Cherry St.
The south sidewalk and both parking lanes of Cherry Street between South Sixth and South Seventh Streets will be closed. The north sidewalk will remain open and signs will direct pedestrians to a safe crossing point.
Both driving lanes will be shifted north to maintain traffic flow. Temporary lane markers and signs will guide vehicles through the lane shift.
Work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, weather permitting.
