ICYMI: Strickland Slams Administration Overreach, Calls ICE the President’s Personal Police Force

"This is domestic terrorism. American lives have become an afterthought."

Washington, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) addressed the Administration's overreach into American cities, the threat of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the American public, and more:

"This Administration was voted in on the promise that it would deliver safety for all Americans. DHS broke that promise the moment they started marching into American cities and turning their guns on innocent citizens under the pretense of protecting communities," said Strickland.

"At every turn, they are choosing the most reckless response possible, and then refusing to be held accountable for it… No accountability whatsoever when a masked ICE agent shot a 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis, in the face. No accountability when the Administration then stonewalled state and local law enforcement trying to conduct a fair, fact-finding investigation," Strickland added.

"This is domestic terrorism. American lives have become an afterthought to this Administration's ultimate goal of scaring people, declaring martial law, and using ICE as the President's personal police force," Strickland concluded.
