Brechan Construction LLC

August 13, 2025

Subject to AS 38.05.565, the SCRO Material Sales Program has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Brechan Construction, LLC

PROJECT NAME: Material Sale ADL 234701

DESIGNATED MATERIAL SITE: ADL 231622

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Within material site ADL 231622 located off Pasagshak Road, East of Lake Rose Tead on Kodiak Island, AK.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: A 2-acre extraction area within Section 23, Township 31 South, Range 20 West, Seward Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Brechan Construction, LLC is applying to perform material extraction at this location and purchase 8,000 cubic yards (cy) of material to be extracted from this site at Fair Market Value (FMV), 2026 through 2030.

REQUESTED TERM: Sale term requested for 5 years.

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: August 28, 2025, at 11:59 pm

DMLW is seeking information related to the extraction of material from this site that may assist in the development of specific operating/reclamation requirements for the site, or identifying any multiple land use issues that may need to be addressed prior to issuance of this or future contracts.

Pursuant to AS 38.05.565, public notice of future contracts may not be conducted.

To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at South Central Regional Land Office, 550 7th Ave suite 900c, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 on or before 11:59 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
