Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani (former Prime Minister of Pakistan), addressed a grand public gathering in Khangarh and stated that late Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan was a symbol of principled politics, democracy, and national unity. He said that Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan's services to politics and his sacrifices for democracy would always be remembered. He also congratulated Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmad Khan on receiving the Nishan-e-Imtiaz on behalf of his late father.

The Chairman Senate further stated that it was a privilege for him to participate in this event held in memory of such a great personality. He remarked that the political and democratic contributions of Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan constitute a bright chapter in Pakistan's history. The grand and historic gathering was organized to celebrate the conferment of Pakistan's highest civil award, the Nishan-e-Imtiaz, upon the late Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan. On this occasion, speakers highlighted in detail the political and democratic struggle of Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan and recalled significant historical events associated with his life and career.

The speakers noted that Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan waged a long struggle against authoritarian rule and made unparalleled sacrifices for the promotion of democracy. He is remembered as the "Father of Democracy" for never compromising on his political principles and for enduring years of imprisonment and political persecution. Special tribute was paid to his resistance and era of detention during the era of General Zia-ul-Haq.

The gathering also highlighted that Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan's residence was widely regarded as a political academy where many of the country's prominent political leaders sought guidance and mentorship.

The speakers described the Government of Pakistan's decision to award him the Nishan-e-Imtiaz as a significant and commendable national recognition of his services.

Among those attending the event were former MNA Mehr Irshad Sial, MPA Mian Alamdar Qureshi, Khawaja Rizwan Alam, Mir Asif Khan Dasti, Malik Zahid Hussain Khokhar, Mian Naveed Asghar Makol, Rao Sajid, along with party office-bearers, workers, and a large number of local dignitaries and community members.
