AHN to Consolidate North Side Endoscopy Services

AHN today confirmed plans to consolidate its two North Side-based GI endoscopy facilities. The network will transition colonoscopy and other endoscopic services currently being provided at its North Shore Endoscopy Center (1307 Federal Street) to the AHN Center for Advanced Endoscopy at Allegheny General Hospital (AGH), located approximately three blocks away. AGH's state-of-the-art gastroenterology lab, which opened in 2019, is equipped with the latest advanced technologies for diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system. It houses 18 spacious pre- and post-procedure bays, six procedure rooms and is staffed by AHN's team of experienced, highly skilled gastroenterologists, endoscopists, surgeons and nurses. The transition and consolidation of the two programs is expected to be complete by the end of January 2025.
