Mayor Genrich Encourages Community Participation in Remaining Mobile Office Hours
The City of Green Bay's inaugural Pop-Up City Hall event at Ted Fritsch Park drew engaged residents and productive conversations between the community and city leadership. Mayor Eric Genrich and city staff appreciate the citizens who took time from their busy schedules to participate, along with the dedicated city employees who made the event possible.
The successful launch demonstrates the value of bringing government services directly to neighborhoods where residents live and gather. The remaining three Pop-Up City Hall events offer additional opportunities for meaningful civic engagement throughout the month.
Upcoming Pop-Up City Hall Events (All 3:30-5:00 PM):
September 18: Farlin Park
September 25: Leicht Park
October 2: Murphy Park
The initiative addresses a fundamental challenge in local government: ensuring all residents have meaningful access to their elected officials and city services. Pop-Up City Hall creates space for authentic dialogue between residents and city leadership while providing practical information about permits, programs, and community resources.
Why Your Participation Matters
Local government works best when it reflects the voices, concerns, and priorities of the entire community. Pop-Up City Hall events provide residents with direct access to decision-makers and the opportunity to shape policies that affect daily life in Green Bay neighborhoods.
Community Engagement Beyond City Hall
Green Bay's commitment to accessible government extends beyond these four events. The Pop-Up City Hall series serves as a model for ongoing community engagement, demonstrating that effective municipal leadership requires meeting citizens where they are rather than expecting them to come to us.
This initiative builds on Green Bay's strong tradition of neighborhood engagement while creating new pathways for residents to connect with their local government. The feedback and insights gathered during these events will inform city priorities and help ensure municipal services meet community needs.
Residents are encouraged to attend any or all of the remaining Pop-Up City Hall events. Bring questions, concerns, ideas, and neighbors. These conversations strengthen our community and improve government responsiveness to resident priorities.
