February 18, 2026 - San Diego-based Slightly Stoopid have announced their inaugural Field of Dreamz Festival, set to take place at Petco Park on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Created and curated by the band, the hometown festival will span two stages and feature performances by Slightly Stoopid, Sublime, Stephen Marley, The Elovaters, Pepper, DENM, Z-Trip, Band of Gringos and Boostive.

As lifelong fans of the San Diego Padres, Field of Dreamz marks a full-circle moment for Slightly Stoopid. Formed in nearby Ocean Beach, co-founders Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald spent their youth attending Padres games, forging an early connection to the team. That relationship has evolved in recent years, with the band taking the field for multiple ceremonial first pitches and headlining Petco Park in 2023. Now, in partnership with the Padres, Slightly Stoopid returns to host their first hometown festival at the stadium.

"The Padres and Petco Park have always been special to us," Slightly Stoopid shared. "From growing up watching the games to headlining shows here, and even throwing out the first pitch, partnering with the Padres and creating our own festival on that field in our hometown is truly a dream come true. Given the history of Stoopid and Sublime, this will be really special, especially with so many of our musical friends and heroes joining us. San Diego has supported us from day one, and the Field of Dreamz Festival is our way of bringing it all back to the community that raised us."

As Slightly Stoopid prepares to launch Field of Dreamz, the band is entering an exciting creative chapter with a forthcoming 10th studio album, due later this year, alongside an extensive 2026 touring schedule. Summer appearances include BottleRock Napa Valley, BeachLife Festival, Reggae Rise Up Florida and Arizona, Sublime's Me Gusta Festival, and Point Break Festival in Virginia Beach, as well as a return to Colorado's iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 8, marking the band's 21st performance and 19th headline appearance at the legendary venue since 2000. Coming off the success of their sold-out 11th annual Closer to the Sun destination festival, the largest installment in the event's history with more than 5,000 attendees, Slightly Stoopid now brings that momentum to Field of Dreamz, expanding their festival footprint with a landmark hometown event at Petco Park.

About Slightly Stoopid:

A musical brotherhood founded by Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald, Slightly Stoopid has grown to achieve artistic freedom and commercial success through a DIY ethos all their own. Unwavering in their principles of independence and determined to succeed on their own terms, the pair of longtime childhood friends were mentored by Bradley Nowell of Sublime and lean into their rock, reggae and punk roots with music that embraces West Coast subculture and positive party energy. Warriors of the road, their touring has grown exponentially both domestically and internationally with sold-out headlining dates across the world, and festival appearances at famed events such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Austin City Limits, Outside Lands, Cali Vibes and countless others. Thirty years into the journey, the prolific collective has much to celebrate. The band founded their own record label, Stoopid Records, which released their platinum single "Closer To The Sun," and gold singles "2am" and "Collie Man." With Billboard-charting albums and over 1 million physical catalog sales to date, they continue to elevate their game. Slightly Stoopid's eclectic collaborations include Snoop Dogg, Bob Weir, Stephen Marley, Cypress Hill, G-Love, Barrington Levy, Chali2na, Karl Denson (Rolling Stones), Don Carlos (Black Uhuru) & Rashawn Ross (Dave Matthews Band). The band independently curates their annual Closer to the Sun destination music festival in Mexico, which has sold out 11 years in a row. Born from humble Southern California roots in Ocean Beach, CA, today Slightly Stoopid bears the torch for a musical lifestyle that resonates across the world.
