Independence Day Closures


The City of Concord government offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

Additional City services and facilities holiday schedule:

  • Rider Transit is closed and buses will not be in service on Saturday, July 4.

  • City of Concord Recreation Centers will follow holiday hours and open from 12-6 p.m. on July 3, and open from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.

  • The David Phillips Activity Center is closed on July 3 and July 4.

  • ClearWater Arts Center & Studios, including the Ceramics Center, is closed on July 3 and July 4.

  • Lake Fisher is open 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. on both July 3 and July 4. Saturday, July 4, is also a Free Fishing Day in North Carolina where residents and visitors can fish without a fishing license. Boaters are required to register for a Civic Rec account and boat rental fees still apply. More information about Lake Fisher is available on our website at concordnc.gov/LakeFisher.
