Travis Mills Joins CMP to Pay Tribute to Fallen Service Members on Memorial Day

CMP and the Travis Mills Foundation held a flag raising ceremony at the company's Augusta headquarters

Augusta, ME - May 26, 2026 - Central Maine Power (CMP), a subsidiary of Avangrid Inc., honored the nation's heroes this Memorial Day with a special flag-raising ceremony alongside Travis Mills and the Travis Mills Foundation at the company's Augusta headquarters.

"Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country," said Travis Mills, Founder and President of the Travis Mills Foundation. "It is a solemn reminder of the cost of freedom and an opportunity for all of us to reflect on the courage, selflessness, and dedication of those who gave their lives to protect it. At the Travis Mills Foundation, we strive to carry forward their legacy by supporting veterans, first responders, and their families through programs that foster healing, resilience, and connection, ensuring their service and sacrifice are never forgotten."

The event also featured remarks from CMP employees who are veterans, highlighting the importance of Memorial Day, the sacrifices made in service to the nation, and the company's ongoing commitment to supporting veterans. A separate flag-raising ceremony was also held at CMP's Portland Service Center.

"We were honored to welcome Travis Mills to our headquarters for our Memorial Day flag raising, a small but meaningful way to recognize the extraordinary sacrifice of those who have given their lives for our freedom," said Linda Ball, President and CEO of Central Maine Power. "Partnering with the Travis Mills Foundation allows us to extend that commitment beyond a single day and support veterans and their families here in Maine. We are proud to stand alongside the Travis Mills Foundation in its mission and equally proud to support the many veterans who are part of our own CMP team."

CMP is longstanding partner with the Travis Mills Foundation supporting its mission and events including its annual Plane Pull event.
