Hazardous Materials Incident at 253 Waggoner Blvd.

Toledo Fire and Rescue Department is on scene at a hazmat incident at Sofo Foods located at 253 Waggoner Blvd.

As a precautionary measure, a shelter-in-place order has been established for a one-mile radius surrounding the facility. Residents and businesses within this area are advised to remain indoors until further notice.

For public safety, the following road closures and restricted areas are in effect:

  • Detroit Ave. between Laskey Rd. and Sylvania Ave.
  • Matzinger Rd. is shut down at Dura Ave.
  • Laskey Rd. is closed between Detroit Ave. and Sylvania Ave.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes. Emergency personnel are on scene managing the incident and Hazmat crews doing recon. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
