One Big Beautiful Bill Act & Healthy SNAP

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Department of Social Services (DSS) announced the launch of two new webpages designed to keep Missourians informed throughout the implementation process of H.R.1 (One Big Beautiful Bill Act) and the recently announced Healthy Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) initiative.

"The department's commitment to transparency must translate into our actions. These new webpages are a resource for families and stakeholders to understand federal and state changes to DSS' programs," said DSS Director Jess Bax. "We understand that initiatives such as H.R.1 and Healthy SNAP are often complex and create questions for a lot of people. Missourians deserve direct access to accurate, easy-to-understand information from government. The department is dedicated to providing this access, and the webpages serve as a centralized resource guide for Missourians to stay informed of how these changes may affect them throughout the implementation process."

H.R.1 Hub

The H.R.1 webpage serves as a central hub for updates, timelines, and frequently asked questions about the department's implementation of this new federal legislation. The page will be continually updated as additional information and guidance becomes available.

Healthy SNAP

DSS will work collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to creates a successful implementation of Healthy SNAP that allows low-income families and individuals who receive SNAP benefits to access more nutritious food options and support healthier lifestyles.
