City invites residents to Connect with Council on November 9

The City of Yuma invites residents to meet and talk with the Mayor and City Councilmembers during Connect with Council on Monday, November 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the MLK Center (300 S. 13th Avenue).

The event is open to the public and offers a casual setting to ask questions, share ideas, and learn more about what is happening in the City. Residents are welcome to drop in throughout the event, with time to discuss topics that matter to them, including City priorities, projects, and services.

There will be no formal presentation. The focus will be on conversation, giving residents an opportunity to hear from their elected officials and share their own perspectives.

"The City Council is strongly committed to engaging with the public and knowing what is on the minds of our constituents," said Mayor Douglas Nicholls. "Their ideas and concerns guide us. We look forward to this event as another way to gather this valuable input."

Connect with Council grew out of the Council's spring strategic planning retreat and its interest in creating more opportunities to engage and involve the public. The event gives Councilmembers another way to hear residents' perspectives and stay connected to the community they serve.
