REMINDER: Avid Election Deniers Running in Battleground Gov Races

Following Trump's speech to the nation attacking democracy, a reminder that Republican election deniers are running for governor in battleground states this year, with the Washington Post recently reporting: "Political figures who took leading roles in trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election appear on track to win the Republican Party's nomination for governor in several of the country's biggest battleground states, including Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin."

In contrast, immediately following Trump's national address, America's 24 Democratic governors released a joint statement. Watch MS NOW's coverage of the Democratic governors' response HERE.

DGA Communications Director Sam Newton said: "While Democratic governors are focused on delivering solutions to the biggest problems facing Americans and protecting our fundamental freedoms, Republican candidates across the country continue to spread dangerous lies and conspiracies to try to undermine free and fair elections. The stakes in this year's 36 races for governor have never been higher."
