HearstLab has made its fourth domestic investment in Japan, backing ikura, which offers an AI-powered multilingual inbound platform that automates customer support, reservations, and payments via WhatsApp and Instagram DM for tourism and hospitality operators. The partnership targets labor shortages and OTA dependence while leveraging Hearst's global network to scale ikura's solution across Japan.
