FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The State of the Great Park is May 6 - and you're invited!
With a budget of over $1 billion, the Great Park is America's largest under-development municipal park. Join the City of Irvine for a one-of-a-kind, interactive community experience at the State of the Great Park, where residents, neighbors, and visitors can explore the past, celebrate the present, and envision the exciting future of one of the nation's most ambitious public park projects.
"We're not just building a park - we're building a legacy," Great Park Chairman Mike Carroll said. "And with over six million visits per year, we're just getting started. Join us as we bring the future of the Great Park to life through virtual reality and meet with our partners, including Pretend City Children's Museum, the Pacific Symphony, OC Music & Dance, the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum, the Anaheim Ducks, the Asian American History Museum of Orange County, Orange County Soccer Club, and the championship sports teams that call Great Park their home. The State of the Great Park will be informative and engaging for all ages - and your chance to see and feel what's ahead in Irvine."
Attendees will enjoy interactive exhibits from Great Park partners, a unique virtual reality (VR) experience that immerses guests in the present and future of the Great Park, a look at the updated walkable timeline at the Great Park, live music, refreshments, and more. The event is free, family-friendly, and open to the entire community.
