NCEC is a comprehensive environmental education conference in North Carolina that brings together government officials, business and industry leaders, attorneys, consultants, engineers, developers, academics, public health professionals, and other stakeholders focused on environmental activities in North Carolina and the Mid-Atlantic region. The event is hosted by the North Carolina Association of Environmental Professionals (NCAEP).

NCAEP is a multidisciplinary professional organization in North Carolina. Formed in 1989, the association has grown to more than 350 individual members and 20 member corporations. NCAEP aims to elevate the environmental profession through workshops, scholarships, conferences, and other events.
