Certain special economic measures to ensure Russia's security extended

In order to safeguard the national interests of the Russian Federation, and pursuant to Federal Law No. 281-FZ dated December 30, 2006, On Special Economic Measures and Coercive Measures, as well as Federal Law No. 390-FZ dated December 28, 2010, On Security, the President resolved to extend certain special economic measures introduced by Executive Order of the President of the Russian Federation No. 560 of August 6, 2014, On the Application of Certain Special Economic Measures to Ensure Security of the Russian Federation, from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028.

Executive Order No. 560 of August 6, 2014, introduced a prohibition or restriction on foreign economic operations involving the importation into the territory of the Russian Federation of certain categories of agricultural products, raw materials, and foodstuffs originating from states that have decided to impose economic sanctions against Russian legal entities and (or) individuals, or have acceded to such decisions. The validity of this Executive Order is extended on an annual basis through special executive orders issued by the head of state.
