Glen Avenue Reconstruction Project Ribbon-Cutting to Occur Friday, Nov. 15
The City of Peoria Department of Public Works will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Glen Avenue Reconstruction Project. The ceremony will begin at 10 am on Friday, Nov. 15, in front of Concordia Lutheran School, 2000 W Glen Ave.
The ceremony is open to the public and attendees should utilize Concordia Lutheran School for parking.
The reconstruction of Glen Avenue from War Memorial Drive to University Street was a two-year, $13.6 million project that began in March 2023. The project included the replacement of the existing pavement, new curb and gutter, storm sewer improvements, and upgraded pedestrian accommodations.
