New Center Will Provide Policymakers with Reliable Data, Analysis, and Insights to Strengthen America's Technology Leadership
Washington, D.C. - TechNet, the national, bipartisan network of tech CEOs and senior executives, launched the Innovation Research Center (IRC), a new initiative to provide trusted, timely data and analysis to inform policymaking at the federal and state levels. The IRC will produce original research, polling data, and evidence-based insights to help leaders better understand the impact of emerging technologies on the economy, workforce, national security, and American competitiveness.
"There is an urgent need for reliable, nonpartisan data to guide policy decisions in an era of rapid technological change," said Linda Moore, President and CEO of TechNet. "TechNet's Innovation Research Center will build on our existing efforts to equip policymakers with the facts they need to craft smart, forward-looking policies that strengthen America's technology leadership."
About the Innovation Research Center
TechNet's Innovation Research Center (IRC) is dedicated to delivering high-quality analysis, actionable insights, and accessible data to policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders across all 50 states and the federal government. The IRC will publish reports, polling, trend analyses, and policy briefs that illuminate the real-world impact of technology and innovation on communities, industries, and the broader U.S. economy. By grounding debates in facts, the IRC will help ensure that America's innovation policies are informed, effective, and aligned with long-term national interests.
The IRC will be led by April Mellody, TechNet's Senior Vice President of Communications. Dr. Jarrett Catlin, TechNet's State AI Policy Advisor, who brings deep expertise in policy research and analysis, will support the IRC's work and recommendations.
