Rep. Latimer and His Constituent Services Team Assist Residents in Greenburgh and Mount Vernon

WHITE PLAINS, NY - U.S. Representative George Latimer (NY-16) and his constituent services team were at the Theodore Young Community Center in Greenburgh and the Doles Center in Mount Vernon this week to assist residents with federal issues. These included delayed Social Security payments, IRS tax returns, and Medicare benefits.

"It was great to be in Greenburgh and Mount Vernon to hear from residents about issues they are facing and introduce them to my staff who can help with individual federal government issues," said Rep. Latimer. "The government can at times live up to its reputation as a large bureaucracy and that can be difficult for a person to navigate alone. That is what my staff can assist with."

Some examples of what issues can be addressed at mobile office hours:

  • Assistance with Medicare, Social Security, VA Benefits & IRS, including guidance on applications, claims, and resolving pending benefit issues
  • Expedited Processing for Passport Applications, including assistance with urgent and pending passport requests to ensure timely approvals
  • Support for Immigration Cases, including help navigating pending immigration applications, status inquiries, and information on DOJ accredited attorneys and legal aid organizations

Mobile office hours and locations for May will be announced soon.
