ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. - Families from across Sweetwater County gathered at the Wyoming Army
National Guard's Touch-a-Truck event in Rock Springs, Wyoming, on Aug. 22, 2025, hosted by the 307th Engineer Utility Detachment.

The free event welcomed hundreds of community members who explored military vehicles, met local Soldiers and participated in family-friendly activities. The event was designed to build stronger connections between the Guard and the community it serves.

"Our Soldiers had just as much fun as the kids," said Sgt. 1st Class Tyler Cunningham, event organizer. "It was incredible to see families learning, laughing and engaging with the equipment and people behind the uniform."

Children climbed into military trucks, asked questions about engineering missions and tested their aim at the dunk tank. The event also featured a weapons rodeo, food trucks, coffee and a cornhole lane, as well as support from the local American Legion.

"This is the kind of outreach that makes a lasting impact," Cunningham said. "We're grateful for
everyone who came out and spent the day with us."

The 307th Engineer Utility Detachment is part of the Wyoming Army National Guard's mission to serveas the Sword and Shield of the state and nation.
