Three Teens Arrested Thursday With Two Guns And Marijuana After Fleeing From Detectives

TITANS Unit detectives arrested three teenagers with two guns and a substantial amount of marijuana on Thursday after they fled from a traffic stop.

Detectives attempted to pull over a Nissan Altima on E Old Hickory Boulevard when it fled at a high rate of speed. Despite multiple efforts to disable the Altima, it continued to drive erratically, passing cars into oncoming traffic in order to evade detectives. With assistance from MNPD Aviation, the Altima was eventually seen parking at an apartment complex on Whites Creek Pike where the teens ran into an apartment.

Jaquain Ussery, 18, Braniesha Braden, 18, and a 16-year-old were taken into custody. A backpack was recovered from the breezeway which contained two handguns, both containing switches making them fully automatic weapons, and 1.58 pounds of marijuana.
Ussery was charged with felony and misdemeanor evading arrest, felony weapon possession, marijuana possession, and drug paraphernalia. He remains jailed on $75,000 bond.

Braden was charged with felony and misdemeanor evading arrest. She is out on $6,000 bond.
The 16-year-old was charged in Juvenile Court with juvenile handgun possession, felony weapon possession, misdemeanor evading arrest, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia.
