Secretary-General of ASEAN receives courtesy visit by the Chief Executive Officer of the Mekong River Commission Secretariat (MRCS)

Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today received a courtesy call by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mekong River Commission Secretariat (MRCS), H.E. Busadee Santipitaks, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. They exchanged views on the alignment between the ASEAN Community Vision (ACV) 2045 and the MRC Strategic Plan 2026-2030, discussed potential areas of collaboration, including environmental protection, water resource management, and disaster management. The meeting also explored the possibility of convening an annual ASEAN-MRC dialogue in line with the Cooperation Framework between ASEAN and MRC.
