Resurfacing to I-84 eastbound to begin next week between Kasota and Burley

BURLEY - The Idaho Transportation Department will begin resurfacing Interstate 84 eastbound between Kasota (Exit 201) and Burley (Exit 208) on Oct. 12.

Drivers should expect single lane closures and reduced speeds daily while crews are on site from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Oct. 22.

Resurfacing includes a thin overlay will provide a smoother driving surface and improve safety along this section of I-84 until a larger pavement replacement project can be completed, which is currently planned for 2030. The resurfacing of the westbound lanes was completed in 2025.

All work is weather dependent.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down, watch for workers and equipment, and allow extra time when traveling through the work zone.
