Prime Minister congratulates the President of São Tomé and Príncipe on his re-election

Prime Minister Luís Montenegro congratulated the President of São Tomé and Príncipe Carlos Vila Nova on his re-election for a new term, expressing confidence in the continued strengthening of the partnership between the two countries.

In a message published on X, the Prime Minister said that Portugal "will continue to explore every avenue to strengthen a partnership that has done so much to bring our two countries and peoples closer together", adding that there are "many opportunities for us to do even more together and to deepen our dialogue and cooperation at the international level".

Luís Montenegro concluded by assuring President Carlos Vila Nova that "São Tomé can continue to count on Portugal".
