Huizenga Park Reopens

The City of Fort Lauderdale is thrilled to celebrate the reopening of an iconic green space.

The reimagined Huizenga Park brings new life to the heart of downtown for our community to enjoy.

The new park includes an event lawn, a sculptural playground, a shaded dog run, and peaceful riverfront seating.

It also features Cabeza con Mariposas, a public sculpture by Manolo Valdés, donated through the James W. Laird Estate.

This transformation was made possible by the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority (Downtown FTL), generous donors, and community partners who helped bring the vision to life.
