Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Ambassador Jiang Feng Pays a courtesy call on Permanent Representative of South Africa to the AU

On August 21, Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, paid a courtesy call on Amb. Nonceba Losi, Permanent Representative of South Africa to the AU.

Amb. Jiang stated that China and South Africa are all-round strategic partners for a new era. Amidst the ever-changing international landscape, China and South Africa's pursuit of modernization remains unchanged, the commitment to advancing China-Africa cooperation remains unchanged, and their aspiration to improve global governance remains unchanged. China is willing to strengthen coordination with South Africa on platforms such as the African Union, and to support South Africa's G20 presidency.

Amb. Losi congratulated Ambassador Jiang's assumption of his new post, stated that South Africa and China share a high level of political mutual trust and deep traditional friendship. The two countries share similar positions and common goals on many issues. President Xi Jinping's fourth state visit to South Africa in 2023 has successfully ushered in a "golden era" of South Africa-China relations. South Africa is ready to continue communication and cooperation with China closely under multilateral frameworks such as the African Union, the G20, and BRICS.
