United States Attorney Lesley A. Woods announced that Jessie Feaster, Jr., 50, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced on October 15, 2026, in federal court in Lincoln for conspiracy to distribute/possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine actual. United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis sentenced Feaster to 130 months' imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After Feaster's release from prison, he will begin a 5-year term of supervised release.
On October 10, 2025, investigators with the Lincoln Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force were conducting surveillance on co-defendant David Leibbrandt's Lincoln residence. They saw a U.S. Postal Service truck arrive and the driver left a package on the porch. A short time later, someone came out of the house and retrieved the package. About an hour later, Feaster, Jr. ("Feaster") arrived at Leibbrandt's residence and went inside. After a few minutes, Feaster returned to his vehicle and left. Investigators followed Feaster to another location in Lincoln where Feaster was contacted and he agreed to let them search his car. A sandwich bag was found on the front passenger seat which contained approximately one pound of methamphetamine. Purity testing at the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab showed at least 410 grams of actual (pure) methamphetamine.
Later the same day, investigators executed a search warrant at Leibbrandt's residence. During that search, they found seven bags containing methamphetamine with a total weight of more than 2.7 kilograms. Purity testing on one of the packages showed at least 1.8 kilograms of actual methamphetamine. Leibbrandt was arrested and agreed to talk to investigators. He admitted receiving 10 pounds of methamphetamine earlier that day and said he had already sold more than three pounds from that quantity, including the pound he sold to Feaster.
Leibbrandt pleaded guilty to the same conspiracy charge and was sentenced on September 24, 2026, to 135 months' imprisonment and a 5-year term of supervised release.
This case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force.
