Affordable Housing Opens in East San José
Today, Charities Housing celebrated the grand opening ceremony of its 100% affordable housing development in East San José. Through a partnership with the County's Office of Supportive Housing, 30 units will be set aside for tenants in the County Rapid Rehousing program, which prioritizes residents who are experiencing homelessness. Residential amenities include: secured bike storage, laundry facilities, a large community room with an attached kitchen, a food pantry, and a fifth-floor terrace. Affordable housing developments like this add to our housing supply to meet the high need for affordable housing in our community. To the future residents of 1860 Alum Rock, we welcome you as we work to create a more inclusive San José.
