Starting on November 19 at 9am, Wastewater Department crews are closing the intersection of S West Shore Blvd and W San Jose St to replace a manhole ring and cover. Variable messaging boards have been installed in the area to inform motorists of the upcoming closure. Southbound traffic will be detoured at W Swann Ave and northbound traffic will be detoured at W Bay-to-Bay Blvd. On November 19, signage and barricades will also be in place to direct traffic around the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses in the area. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes while this work is ongoing.
This repair and restoration of the work area are scheduled to be completed no later than close of business on Friday, November 22. Normal traffic patterns will then resume. A map of the work zone and recommended detour routes is embedded below. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions. See all road closures at www.tampagov.net/RoadClosures
