The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that there will be intermittent lane closures on I-95 northbound and I-95 southbound in New London within the project limits on Gold Star Memorial Bridge starting on Monday, March 30, 2026.

CTDOT Project No. 0094-0261 was awarded to MSR Gold Star Partners at a cost of $721,348,812 on October 03, 2025, and estimated to be completed in the Fall of 2030.This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is working to inform motorists and residents of current and upcoming construction activities through press releases, travel alerts, social media, project newsletters, as well as the project website, https://portal.ct.gov/DOTNBGoldStarMemorialBridge. LANE CLOSURE INFO

There will be temporary lane closures in the left and right lanes (alternately), Monday through Friday, starting March 30, 2026, during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and follow posted signage.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
