Technical College System of Georgia Signs Articulation Agreement with Luther Rice College & Seminary to Expand Transfer Opportunities

Atlanta, Ga. - The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) has signed a new articulation agreement with Luther Rice College & Seminary that will expand transfer pathways for TCSG students seeking to continue their education and earn a bachelor's degree.

The agreement allows students who complete associate degrees, diplomas, or certificates at one of TCSG's 22 colleges to transfer a significant number of credits toward select bachelor's degree programs at Luther Rice.

"This agreement reflects our ongoing commitment to creating clear and affordable educational pathways for Georgia students," said TCSG Commissioner Greg Dozier. "By partnering with Luther Rice College & Seminary, we are ensuring that students who begin their journey at a technical college have expanded opportunities to build on their skills and advance their careers through a bachelor's degree."

Through the partnership, TCSG graduates will have the opportunity to transfer into Luther Rice's Bachelor of Arts in Workforce and Ministry Readiness and the Bachelor of Arts in Business and Trade Administration programs. Students may transfer up to 93 credit hours toward the 126-credit bachelor's degrees, significantly reducing both the time and cost required to complete a four-year degree.

The agreement also creates direct program-to-program transfer pathways in several fields. Students who complete an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management, or Accounting at a TCSG college may transfer directly into Luther Rice's Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program. In addition, students who earn an Associate of Science in Psychology may transfer into Luther Rice's Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program.

"We pioneered distance theological education more than 60 years ago," said Dr. Steve Steinhilber, President of Luther Rice College & Seminary. "Today we are pioneering again-creating academic pathways designed specifically for Christians in bi-vocational careers who no longer have to choose between ministry and the trades."

This partnership strengthens the alignment between Georgia's technical colleges and higher education institutions, helping students move seamlessly from technical training into advanced academic programs while continuing to support the state's workforce and talent development goals.
