The President of the National Assembly Raya Nazaryan talked with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The President of Parliament is visiting Ukraine to participate in the second Parliamentary Summit in Bucha. Earlier, she made a statement at the forum organized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Bulgaria remains unwavering in its categorical position on the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, Raya Nazaryan assured her Ukrainian counterpart. She stated that our country's support will continue for as long as necessary, within our capabilities. Bulgaria's solidarity and empathy with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people was confirmed in seven separate decisions of the National Assembly, the President of Parliament added.

The illegal, full-scale war must end with a comprehensive, just and lasting peace based on international law, Raya Nazaryan pointed out. Bulgaria welcomes all efforts aimed at ensuring a lasting peaceful solution based on the principle that nothing concerning Ukraine should be resolved without Ukraine, she added.

The President of the Parliament noted that joint efforts could expand to encompass the long-term recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine, including infrastructure development and the country's economic recovery.

Raya Nazaryan recalled that in humanitarian terms, Bulgaria provides significant assistance to temporarily displaced people from Ukraine. 197,580 people have been granted temporary protection, of which 61,000 have settled in Bulgaria, she pointed out. The Ukrainian students enrolled in Bulgarian schools this school year are 5,379, the President of the National Assembly added.
