Alumnus Emery Lehman earns silver medal at Milano Cortina Games

Speed skater and 2020 Opus College of Engineering alumnus Emery Lehman secured a silver medal as part of the United States' team pursuit trio, competing with teammates Casey Dawson and Ethan Cepuran at the 2026 Winter Olympics on Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Milano Cortina, Italy.

The Americans, who hours earlier advanced to the finals by defeating China, finished 4.51 seconds behind the host Italians. The medal is Lehman's second in Olympic competition; he secured a bronze in the team pursuit at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Lehman will also compete in the men's 1,500 meters on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 9:30 a.m. The event will be televised on USA Network.
