Christine Drazan Silent as Trump Slashes Crucial Funding to Combat Homelessness

Failed candidate Christine Drazan is once again refusing to stand up to Donald Trump as his administration announces plans to slash critical funding to combat homelessness, which "could quickly place as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people at risk of returning to the streets." This comes as Oregonians have made it overwhelmingly clear that they want a governor who will stand up to Donald Trump and his dangerous agenda.

While Oregon faces a housing crisis, Drazan has offered no real plan to build more homes families can afford and has tried to block common sense efforts to lower housing costs. She opposed Governor Kotek's bipartisan housing initiatives aimed at tackling the state's housing and homelessness crisis and failed to sponsor a single bill to expand housing production.

"Oregonians are looking for a leader who will stand up to Donald Trump and his dangerous agenda of slashing health care, food assistance, and housing programs - not someone who stands silently by," said DGA Deputy Communications Director Johanna Warshaw. "If Drazan is too afraid to stand up for a bipartisan program that's helping combat homelessness and create more housing while she's on the campaign trail, just imagine how far she'd bend the knee to Donald Trump as governor."
