Prague, Feb 20 (CTK) - The Excalibur International company, part of Czech entrepreneur Michal Strnad's CSG arms-making group, will supply tens of thousands of artillery and mortar ammunition rounds worth hundreds of millions of euros to a NATO member country in Western Europe, the CSG group announced in a press release today.
It mentioned the signing of the contract with the Defence Ministry of an unspecified country.
The company won the contract on the basis of an accelerated tender procedure due to the urgent need to replenish the ammunition stocks of the armed forces of a NATO member country, CSG said.
Another company from the Czechoslovak Group (CSG), MSM Group, will also participate in the contract.
"The ammunition will be manufactured by the companies belonging to the MSM Group, which includes major European producers of artillery, mortar, tank, and medium-calibre ammunition that meet the NATO standards, such as the VOP Novaky, ZVS, Fabrica de Municiones de Granada, and ZVI firms," the group said.
