City of Concord Invites Youth Artists to Join Environmental Art Competition

Concord, CA - The City of Concord is calling on young local artists, ages 5 to 18, to participate in the Youth Environmental Art Competition-a creative initiative to beautify downtown and inspire environmental stewardship through art.

This exciting project offers a unique opportunity for youth to design sustainability-themed artwork that will be showcased on the side panels of trash and recycling bins surrounding Todos Santos Plaza. This project aims to increase public engagement on environmental issues, facilitate proper recycling and waste disposal, and promote sustainable practices in Concord.

Eligibility:

  • Artists must be between 5 and 18 years old
  • Participants must live, work, or attend school in Concord

Submission Requirements:

  • Artwork must be submitted as a rectangular JPG image.
  • Minimum resolution: 300 DPI
  • Submission deadline: August 20, 2025

A small panel of local stakeholders will select winners based on the creativity of the design and its commitment to showcasing environmental themes. Selected artists will be notified in early September. Selected artwork will be printed on panels measuring 30 inches high by 18 inches wide and displayed in a vertical (portrait) orientation.
