Deputy Secretary Troy Edgar participates in first VOICE roundtable with 8 Angel families

WASHINGTON - Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Troy Edgar delivered remarks at the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement roundtable Oct. 20. The event was hosted by VOICE Executive Director, Joe Abraham, an Angel father who lost his daughter to an illegal alien.

"I am so grateful to President Trump for his decisive action on this issue. His leadership, along with Secretary Mullin and Deputy Secretary Edgar's has brought needed awareness to the senseless and preventable loss of life at the hands of illegal aliens," said Joe Abraham. "The President has made it clear, if you are here illegally, you will be found, arrested, and deported."

The event, attended by eight Angel families, was designed to gain feedback directly from families who have lost their loved ones, and how to better serve the needs of victims. President Trump launched VOICE during his first administration, and reopened it in April of 2025, after the Biden administration callously shuttered it in 2021.

VOICE will continue to work closely with DHS, ICE, and Angel families to advance the President's agenda and make America safe again by removing the worst of the worst, as well as any illegal aliens that threaten the security of our nation and the safety of our communities.
