I-5 Connectors to SR-78 Closed Evenings August 18 to 20 and 23 to 26

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close the southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connector to eastbound State Route 78 (SR-78) Tuesday, August 18 to Sunday, August 20, and Sunday, August 23, to Wednesday, August 26, from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Caltrans will also close the northbound I-5 connector to westbound SR-78/Vista Way Tuesday, August 18 to Sunday, August 20 and Sunday, August 23 to Wednesday, August 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists may continue south, exit at Las Flores Drive, turn left to the northbound I-5 on-ramp, and then connect to eastbound SR-78.

Motorists may continue north, exit at Oceanside Boulevard, turn left to the southbound I-5 on-ramp, and connect to westbound SR-78/Vista Way.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
