Trautman to moderate a discussion on our 'Pivotal Year' in North American relations

Laurie Trautman, director of Western Washington University's Border Policy Research Institute, will moderate a World Affairs Council panel this month on U.S. relations with Canada and Mexico.

"2026 - A Pivotal Year for U.S. Relations with Mexico and Canada," Feb. 18 at noon on Zoom, will cover the dynamics shaping U.S. engagement with its neighbors and issues that will define North American cooperation in the years ahead, including security, migration, trade and cross-border mobility.

In addition to Trautman, speakers will be Lila Abed, director of the Mexico Program at the Inter-American Dialogue and Laura Dawson, executive director of Future Borders Coalition.
