14th COMCEC Capital Market Regulators (CMR) Forum Annual Meeting

The virtual 14th COMCEC Capital Market Regulators (CMR) Forum Annual Meeting was conducted by the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (CMB) on 15th October 2025.

Attendance was provided by delegates from COMCEC member countries capital market regulatory authorities, Borsa İstanbul, the Central Bank of Türkiye and by the COMCEC Coordination Office (CCO). The main objective of the Forum is to improve capacity building issues among capital market regulators of members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and to enhance cooperation among member COMCEC countries. This year, the COMCEC CMR Forum focused on the work streams of Forum Task Forces, namely; the development of the Islamic capital markets (ICM), sustainable capital markets, financial literacy, the development of the sukuk market, and the regulation of crypto asset service providers. Furthermore, Forum members were updated on the GEFAS Platform (Real Estate-Based and Developing Financial Instruments https://gefas.gov.tr/), which was officially launched on September 16, 2022. All COMCEC member regulatory authorities were invited and called upon by the Forum Secretariat to participate in the GEFAS Platform in order to contribute to the enhancement of the scope of the Platform.
