Marin County - Caltrans has scheduled final striping Friday, April 24 for the Capital Preventive Maintenance project on Westbound and Eastbound State Route 37 (SR-37) in between Atherton Avenue and the Petaluma River Bridge in Novato.
There is scheduled to be lane and temporary connector ramp closures on both Eastbound and Westbound SR-37.
The Northbound US-101 connector to Eastbound SR-37 is scheduled to be closed from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers should use Atherton Avenue and travel east as a detour. The Southbound US-101 connector ramp to Eastbound SR-37 will remain open during this time.
The Westbound SR-37 connector to Southbound US-101 connector ramp is scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. until about 1 p.m.
Drivers should use Atherton Avenue and travel westbound as a detour. The Westbound SR-37 to Northbound US-101 ramp will remain open during the time of this ramp closure.
Changeable Message Signs (CMS) will be active to alert drivers about the closures.
All construction Is weather dependent.
This capital maintenance pavement rehabilitation project involves paving and median barrier work in Novato. The project grinded and re-paved the roadway between the Ignacio overhead to the Petaluma River Bridge - a stretch of about three miles.
