Baker McKenzie advises Iberdrola in the sale if its Mexican business for USD 4.2 Billion
Madrid & Mexico City, 29 April, 2026-Baker McKenzie advised Iberdrola in the sale of its remaining assets in Mexico to energy company Cox, in a recently closed transaction valued at USD 4.2 billion. The agreement includes combined-cycle and renewable energy projects at various development stages, in several states of Mexico, totalling around 12,000 MW. This transaction follows the sale of Iberdrola México's 8.5 GW of combined cycle gas plants, a subsidiary of Iberdrola, to Mexico Infrastructure Partners for USD 6.2 billion.
