BANGKA BARAT -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by involving local products to meet the company's needs. This initiative not only helps expand market access for MSMEs but also encourages economic growth for communities in the company's operational areas.
One form of this support was realized by making local MSME products souvenirs during the series of Ramadan Safari 1447 Hijri activities held in Mentok, Bangka Barat.
Through this initiative, PT TIMAH not only strengthens relationships with the community during the Ramadan momentum but also helps increase the marketing of MSME products, which in turn supports community economic growth.
One MSME entrepreneur who has benefited from this program is Rini Erzaliana, owner of the brand Primadona, which produces a variety of chips in Mentok, Bangka Barat.
Rini said that the involvement of her products in PT TIMAH's activities has had a positive impact on her business, particularly in increasing productivity and sales turnover.
"Alhamdulillah, it has been very helpful. Suddenly there was an order from PT TIMAH for their event needs, and it was placed in large quantities. Of course, this has greatly impacted our revenue growth," she said.
She explained that her team prepared up to 790 packages of products consisting of various snacks such as rengginang, chocolate banana chips, sweet banana chips, cassava chips with sweet corn flavor, taro chips, and peyek.
"During Ramadan, our turnover and production usually increase. With this order from PT TIMAH, it further boosts our revenue and motivates us as MSME entrepreneurs to keep growing," she added.
According to Rini, PT TIMAH's support is very meaningful for MSMEs, especially amid the current decline in public purchasing power over the past few months.
She explained that Primadona products are sold at prices ranging from Rp1,000 to Rp15,000 per package. Under normal conditions, production can reach around 20 to 30 kilograms per day, while during Ramadan production increases to as much as 100 kilograms per day.
In addition to helping increase sales, PT TIMAH also opens promotional opportunities for MSME entrepreneurs by involving them in various exhibitions and bazaars.
"We were also invited to participate in an exhibition during the Mother's Day celebration. So it's not only helping with sales but also helping with marketing so our products become better known," she added.
Rini hopes that in the future PT TIMAH will continue to involve MSMEs in various promotional activities and exhibitions in different regions so that local products from Mentok can gain wider recognition.
"Hopefully, if there are more exhibitions or bazaars, we can continue to be involved so that Primadona products can be recognized not only in Mentok but also in other regions," she said.
In addition to Primadona products, PT TIMAH also involved other MSMEs such as Mirando Key Lime Syrup, Asri Corn Chips, and Afifah Getas.
The program of involving MSME products in various company activities is part of PT TIMAH's efforts to strengthen the community's economy while supporting the growth of local entrepreneurs in the company's operational areas.
