Richmond-San Rafael Bridge (Interstate 580) Nighttime Closure Westbound Lane #2 for Maintenance

Scheduled: Saturday, May 30, 2026, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Contra Costa County & Marin County - Caltrans maintenance crews will carry out overnight spalling repairs on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge (I-580), implementing the closure of Lane #2 on the westbound upper deck Saturday, May 30, 2026, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM, the following morning. The closure extends across the entire bridge, but westbound Lane #1 and the bike path will remain accessible.

Caltrans appreciate the public's patience as we work to ensure the integrity of the roadway.

The Richmond-San Rafael Bridge remains safe and open for travel despite ongoing lane closures.
