The meeting was marked by an open and substantive dialogue on key political and development issues, with a particular focus on Montenegro's further progress in the European Union accession process.

Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović emphasised that the results achieved so far in the negotiation process clearly confirm Montenegro's consistent and firm commitment to EU membership. He pointed to the importance of implementing reforms, noting that Montenegro remains a credible partner that contributes to stability and security in the region.

Special Envoy Frangeš expressed Slovenia's strong support for Montenegro's European path, assessing its progress as encouraging and significant for the overall dynamics of EU enlargement. He highlighted that Montenegro, as the most advanced candidate country, has a real opportunity to further consolidate its position through continued reforms, and underlined Slovenia's readiness to continue providing political and expert support in that process. He also stressed the importance of regional cooperation as a foundation for long-term stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans.

The interlocutors agreed that the establishment of a working party for drafting the Accession Treaty represents an important turning point in the EU negotiation process. They also concluded that the partnership between Montenegro and Slovenia serves as a valuable pillar in achieving shared European goals, expressing confidence that continued intensive political dialogue and concrete cooperation will further strengthen Montenegro's position on its European path.
