Oma-Gro Production Moving to New Location

The City of Omaha's Oma-Gro Compost Facility is moving to a new location over the next 18 months. The new address is 6606 S 60th St. formerly Al Veys field)

During the construction and moving process, several changes will be in effect.

• Beginning Monday, October 28th 2024, all self-haul yard waste will only be accepted at the new location.

• The new site will temporarily stop accepting drop-offs December 20th, 2024 and yard waste will not be accepted at any location until spring 2025.

• Beginning March 3rd 2025, self-haul yard waste will resume and may be dropped off at the new location only, and will continue year-round as in past years

• Bulk and bagged compost will continue to be sold only at the current location at 15705 Harlan Lewis Road until August 2025

• The new facility is anticipated to be operating with material available for purchase in November 2025.
