Voters To Decide the Future of Parks and Recreation Funding
HENDERSON, Nev . (May 4, 2026) - In the upcoming 2026 Primary Election, Henderson residents will consider several important ballot items, including a measure that will help shape the future of local parks and recreation funding.
Ballot Question 1 asks Henderson voters whether to continue an existing property tax originally approved in 1997. Set at 12 cents per $100 of assessed property value, the tax currently provides approximately 40% of the City's Parks and Recreation Department budget and supports programs and services that contribute to Henderson's quality of life.
