Austin ISD leaders to address 2023 accountability ratings

Austin ISD leaders will provide an overview of the 2023 accountability ratings released from the Texas Education Agency.

When: 10 a.m., Thursday April 24

Where: Austin ISD Central Office Board Room, 4000 South Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Austin, Texas 78704.

Background: After two years of lawsuits holding up state accountability results, the courts dismissed the latest effort to block 2023 A-F ratings statewide in early April.

  • This included 120 school districts raising concerns in the lawsuit over the standards of the accountability ratings, which are almost entirely driven by the STAAR.

  • The decision allowed campus-based grades district-wide to become public for the first time since 2019.

  • As of today, ratings for 2024 have not been released by the courts.

The press conference will be live-streamed on the Austin ISD YouTube page and Austin ISD Facebook page.

MEDIA: If you plan to attend, please RSVP with the Austin ISD Media Relations team.
